City Cruise Terminal, Southampton.
D&B link walkway between check in and departure buildings at Southampton cruise terminal, serving the Queen Mary 2 Cruise Liner. The design incorporates 6 joined 10m Ø conic structures on a gentle curve, giving a total length of 40m.

One challenge in the design process was that the entrances that are joined by the walkway are at slightly different levels, so the structure undersails one and oversails the other.

Due to the close proximity of both ends of the structure to existing entrance canopies, the set-out and levels had to be exact to ensure the installation did not clash with either building. Canopy manufactured in one complete length, requiring 3 cranes with spreader bars to raise the canopy in one manoeuvre.
